Do you have parking?
No. However, there is public parking available at Monk Bar and St George’s Field. Please ask if you need any more advice regarding parking.
Do you allow early check-ins?
Check in starts at 2pm, however, you are welcome to leave your bags with us at reception from 10am and return any time before 5pm to check in. Occasionally your apartment may be ready before 2pm but this cannot be guaranteed.
Do you allow late checkouts?
Check out is at 10am, unless previously arranged before arrival. A charge of £20 is required for late check out up to 12pm. Late check outs cannot be guaranteed.
Do the apartments have en suite bathrooms?
All apartments have a separate bathroom apart from St Maurices Den where the bathroom is accessed from the main bedroom. Please see the apartment layouts on the website.
Do all apartments have baths?
All apartments have modern walk in showers. A couple of Suites at York House do have baths.
Do your apartments have a lift?
Unfortunately because of the age and history of the building we do not have a lift. If you have mobility issues or particularly heavy luggage, please contact us as soon as possible to see if an alternative ground floor apartment is available. Knavesmire, Trinity Studio, King Richards Snug and Minster Studio are all ground floor apartments.
Can we leave our luggage with you after check out?
Yes! Once you have handed your keys in at 10am you are welcome to leave your luggage in the reception area up till 5pm. The reception will be locked up at 5pm so please ensure you come back for your luggage before then. If for whatever reason you are running late please contact us on 01904 211020.
Is there a supermarket nearby?
We are lucky to have a large Sainsburys supermarket just around the corner, and in the opposite direction you’ll also find a Tesco Local on Goodramgate.
Are the apartments near all the popular York attractions?
Yes! We are located at Monkbar, so you will be able to walk to most York attractions in 10 minutes or under. York tourist guides are available at reception.
Do I need any I.D or check in information on arrival?
You do not usually need to bring anything for check in. All you need to do is state the name the booking was made under and you will be shown to your apartment.
Can you provide a cot and high chair for my child?
For a charge of £10 we can provide a cot and high chair in your apartment. This is on a first come first served basis as we have limited numbers so please contact us before arrival if you wish to arrange this.
What beds are provided in each apartment?
The majority of apartments have a king size bed in the master bedroom and 1-2 single sofa beds located in the lounge. Please check your apartment details before arrival to see what sleeping arrangements your apartment has as they may be a mixture of a king size bed and single or double sofa beds.
Do I need to bring towels?
No, we provide you with a small and large towel each. Please contact us if you wish for your towels to be changed during a multiple night stay.
Do you have laundry facilities?
The apartments do not have a washing machine however there is a dry cleaners & laundrette right next door to the reception. Guests at Goodramagte are entitled to reduced rates when using this service.
Do you provide a welcome pack?
We do not provide a welcome pack.
Do you accept Hen parties and Stag dos?
Unfortunately, we only accept hen parties. This decision was not made lightly and we reserve the right to reject all male groups. All male groups that are not stag parties may be able to book with our discretion. All groups of four or more may be required to pay a £50 refundable damage deposit per person on arrival. This will be returned once the apartments have been checked on the day of departure.
Do the apartments have private patios?
Only two apartments have a private patio, these are Minster Studio and Bootham Suite.
