During the busy summer months when the York Races are on, we politely ask that you read over the following information to make your stay with us as smooth and enjoyable as possible:
-If you are staying for the races and need to get changed before 2pm, we will do our very best to let you quickly get ready in your apartment before it has been cleaned, which we know isn’t ideal but at least you can get changed in time! This cannot be guaranteed though.
-Please check with us if you are ensure about sleeping arrangements in your apartment, preferable before you have made your booking.
-Please plan your trip in advance, for example make sure you book a taxi days in advance, as there can be waiting times of up to 3 hours on the day! If you are coming by car, please contact us in advance to talk about where to park and costs. A shuttle bus can be taken from the train station to the racecourse.
-Make sure you’ve got cash for the taxi! The nearest cash machines to use are located at Tescos on Goodramgate and at Sainsburys behind Monkbar Hotel.
– Please be respectful and considerate of other guests, especially coming back to the apartment after the races have finished. We kindly ask that you keep noise down to a minimum after 10pm, and resist smoking and talking directly outside any of our purple doors.
-Please leave the apartment in the condition you found it. This means cleaning and putting away kitchen supplies and putting any rubbish in the bin provided.
-Check out is at 10am unless previously arranged. Please bring keys back to reception and hand them over to reception staff or post through the reception door.
-Bags can be left in reception after check out until 5pm.
-We DO NOT accept all male groups.
-We reserve the right to turn away guests who turn up for check in highly intoxicated and under the influence of illegal drugs. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of our other guests. Refunds will not be given in these cases.
– We reserve the right to turn away guests who are verbally or physically abusive to staff or other guests. This includes threatening behaviour and can be enforced any time during your stay. If you are staying with us and need to report another guest for this type of behaviour please contact us on 0800 242 5450.
